**Solutions Architect (IT Cloud Systems & Infrastructure)**
Our IT infrastructure roughly looks like this:
- Identity by Okta & 200+ Saa S services
- Google Workspaces collaboration suite
- AWS workloads to support internal IT requirements
- Workstations include Mac, Linux, Windows, Chromebooks, AWS Workspaces & Nutanix Xi Frame
- Office networking including Palo Alto firewalls, Juniper switching and MIST/Ubiqiti Wi Fi
- Very little other on-premise infrastructure. We're cloud-based as much as possible
- Workstations run device-management and endpoint protection clients
- SIEM monitors events from endpoint-protection, SAAS services, and networks
**Responsibilities**
This role sits across two disciplines, as you will need to understand and solve business requirements as well as have the technical background to work with the IT Engineering team to design and implement solutions to those challenges. As an highly respected individual contributor on our IT team, you'll have a broad set of responsibilities including:
- Work closely with BU leaders to understand business needs in order to design appropriate system specifications.
- Understand current and future technologies and be a key contributor to the technical roadmap for the IT Team.
- Design, document, and implement complex IT systems and multi-system integrations.
- Researching, evaluating, and selecting appropriate cloud and Saa S services to solve company problems and improve productivity.
- Continual improvement - constantly re-evaluate existing solutions to ensure optimal efficiency and security compliance.
- Communicate requirements to engineers and software developers alike.
- Identify and evaluate software and/or hardware solutions that resolve existing problems.
- Be the technical guru for the IT team, mentoring more junior engineers and being the go-to person for anything technical.
- Work with the IT team leads and project managers to ensure implementations are successful and on-time.
- Ensure our services are secure - we are a security & privacy company so security is at the forefront of everything we do.
- Build monitoring in to designs, to effectively measure and report on all of our systems KPIs.
- Draft and present proposals to C-Suite level stakeholder for approval.
- Drive the creation and maintenance of a standardised set of solution architecture templates and documentation guidelines.

**Business Analysis**:

**Technical Solution Design**
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
- A deep understanding of how things actually work, not just how to use the service UI.
- Proven experience in a technical IT role, utilising predominantly cloud solutions.
Expert-level knowledge of some of the following:
- Detailed awareness of the security requirements when designing and deploying systems.
- Designing architectures with compliance and security frameworks.
- Virtualization technologies such as VMWare ESXi, Docker, Kubernetes, Nutanix.
- Expert awareness of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, Syslog, SMTP, HTTP/S, Cryptography and distributed networks.
- Deploying, managing and interacting with cloud and Saa S services and supporting protocols (e.g. SCIM, SAML).
- All major operating systems, including Mac OS, Windows, Linux (any flavor) and Chrome OS.
- Cloud IDP, SSO and Authentication technologies.
- Expert experience in designing and integrating complex IT systems and concepts into an existing ecosystem.
- Designing and building integrations between multiple Saa S services.
- AWS/Azure/GCP platforms for Iaa S.
- Solid networking knowledge (Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco, MIST).
- Defining and measuring the success metrics associated with IT solutions.
- Constantly aware of evolving technical landscape, to understand what's possible in order to constantly drive change and keep us at the cutting-edge of technology.
- Competent writing scripts from scratch (not editing existing ones) in bash, terraform, powershell & ansible to name just a few.
- Automation of anything and everything.
- Infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or Ansible.
