**Job Purpose:
To Support the Fleet Team in engineering projects and the implementation of modifications and improvements to fleet vessels.
**Job Responsibilities:
**Planning Responsibilities - (Plan)**
- Prepare projects (outside contractors and in-house) and budget proposals.
- Prepare project management plans considering schedules and timelines.
- Prepare specifications for approved projects.
- Develop new engineering practices and procedures.
**Operational Responsibilities - (Do)**
- Discuss job specification / agree scope with suppliers and evaluate vendors tender.
- Coordinate internal resources and external contractors to ensure a high quality implementation of the approved projects and to ensure the delivery is inside the proposed timeline.
- Coordination with third parties to support charterer/owner agreed projects including but not limited to class, flag, owners, suppliers and fleet team.
- Control costs of approved projects and manage any deviation during the timeline of the project.
- Management of approved projects at repair periods, either during voyage or in dock.
- Coordination and implementation of in-house projects and engineering studies.
- Conduct ship visits / inspections.
**Performance monitoring responsibilities - (Check)**
- Monitor new technologies, regulating bodies, flag administrations and Class Societies for changes in requirements and new legislation.
- Monitor on-going projects and provide progress and cost control reports to line manager.
- Monitor, review and report suppliers’ performance to line manager.
**Responsibilities for Driving Improvement - (Act)**
- Monitor Projects budgetary status and keep all stakeholders informed.
- Provide feedback on contractor’s performance.
- Following completion of projects, conduct analysis and identify lessons learned.
- Implementation of new engineering practices and procedures.
**Job Requirements:
**Qualifications**:
- Preferably holds Class 1 Marine Engineer certificate, or degree / naval architecture equivalent.
- Knowledge and experience of LNG operations desirable.
**Qualities**:

**Technical Competencies**:
